Eagles have always been powerful symbols throughout the world and are even considered to be sacred birds in some cultures. Eagle feathers are prized for their beauty and symbolism and are central to many religious and spiritual customs among the native peoples of America.

Today, eagles are endangered and protected by law. Eagle feathers are difficult to obtain and cannot be legally possessed in the U.S. without a special permit from the federal government. For those who do not or cannot possess eagle feathers, the alternatives have historically been rather poor. It is indeed a difficult task to reproduce the natural beauty of the eagle feather.
